I love my doors which were installed today but since the floors were installed first i now have a gap or two where the new frame doesn t cover the flooring.

By having all the doors and trim up first the painters can come in and spray everything out and get the first coat of color on the walls. I d put the flooring down without the jambs. Then the flooring installers come in and do their thing. You can rent a saw that is special made for cutting door casings to allow tyle to go under. You need to be more careful working on the new floor so you do not damage it.

This is for timing. The floors go in last. It ll be a little easier to do the flooring first with no door jambs but you can also install the jambs with a space that will allow the flooring to slip underneath. Stay about 1 4 to 3 8 inch away from the studs.

Hi i would lay floor first then hang doors. Once them jobs are done then decorating can go ahead decorators should be the last tradesmen in as you dont want walls or any surface marked after decorating.
